In 2014, the Dutch State Railways ordered a total of 19 additional TRAXX F160 MS with the DE/AT/BE/NL country package and a top speed of 160 km/h so that there were enough locomotives available for the Amsterdam-Breda route and this traffic could be expanded. 186 001-019 were delivered between 2014 and early 2015 in a yellow/blue livery. Since June 1, 2018, Dutch locomotives 186 001-045 have been owned by Akiem as part of a sale/lease back arrangement.
